ARCHAEOLOGICAL STANDARD PROTOCOL for the INTEGRATED REPORTING of EVENTS

ASPIRE Training

Free training sessions for archaeological contractors, researchers, independant and society archaeologists in February 2006.

Because ASPIRE is a new idea with such significant implications, ARIA and the RCAHMS, supported by Historic Scotland, have organised a number of Free training sessions to take place in February 2006. These training sessions are open to anyone likely to generate new archaeological information, but are expected to be of particular interest to commercial archaeological contractors as the implementation date of ASPIRE as a requirement for much of their work will be in the following April.

The training sessions will cover all aspects of ASPIRE, but will concentrate on the pratical aspects of how to make your project ASPIRE compliant and how to extend the ASPIRE template databases to make them more useful for your particular project. There will also be plenty of opportunity for question and answer sessions.

The training sessions are scheduled to take place all over Scotland so that they can be easily attended by as many people as possible. Each session is envisaged as requiring a full day, running from 9:30 until late afternoon with breaks for lunch and refeshments.
